Dear Customers,
We are writing to inform you about recent developments concerning DJI drones and their import status in the United States.
Recently, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has suspended imports of certain DJI drones due to concerns related to the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA). The UFLPA is a law designed to combat forced labor abuses in China’s Xinjiang region. According to reports, DJI has been accused of using forced labor in the manufacturing of their drones, which has led to the suspension of some imports.
DJI has denied these allegations, stating that their manufacturing processes do not involve forced labor and that their operations are based in Shenzhen and Malaysia, not Xinjiang. However, the CBP has acted based on the UFLPA, which mandates that products with ties to forced labor in Xinjiang are presumed inadmissible unless proven otherwise.
We understand that this situation may cause some concern, and we want to assure you that we are closely monitoring developments and will keep you informed of any updates. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Sincerely,
LE Drones
